My new sectional came in today, courtesy of @valyoufurniture — and man, this thing is gorgeous.
Ordering + Options
After I moved into this new open-loft style spot a few weeks ago, I realized I needed something with some size and the Feathers Sectional was my instant choice. You have four different size options with the sectional — 88 inch, 110 inch, 142 inch and 170 inch. I opted for the 110 inch. It’s perfectly large, but not too overbearing in my city loft. Since it has a chaise, you can also choose which side of the sofa you want it to be on. I got my facing right, so I can stretch out and look out of my window while doing work or straight up relaxing.
Delivery + Assembly
Delivery was fast, very fast. Because the sofa comes in two large pieces, you have two large boxes that need to be delivered via FedEx Freight. That was simple, too. FedEx notified me, I could choose a delivery date + time window of my choice and boom — it was outside of my apartment waiting to be brought inside from the delivery driver. They have curbside delivery by default — they’ll drop the boxes off in your building lobby or outside the door. Valyōu also offers delivery directly inside a room of choice, plus an excess removal service available at an extra cost.
After I unwrapped everything and unboxed the two main pieces from their shipping units, assembly only really took about two minutes or so, then it was game on! Valyōu provides you with a very quick and easy assembly YouTube video showing you how to attach the chaise and the main part of the sofa. Spoiler alert — they attach with two secure clasps underneath the couch and thats it! No screws, nails, bolts, etc to deal with. Just flip the two pieces, attach the clasp, flip back over and you’re done.
General Review + Use
It’s huge, the beige shade is gorgeous, and most importantly, it’s COMFORTABLE. If you’re worried about the lighter shade, no need to fret — the cushion covers are pretty stain-resistant, but also machine washable if you do happen to really do some damage to them. I’m all about convenience and the least amount of hassle possible and the Feathers Sectional checks all of those boxes for me.
