The Floyd platform bed does it all.

I’ve been a fan of platform beds for as long as I can remember, and listen — the Floyd version is exactly what I needed. I want to talk about my thoughts, the delivery process, setup and overall experience with the bed.
Selecting a bed
The bed is super customizable with plenty of options, but not to the point where I was overwhelmed. You have a natural birch or walnut wood finish, plus white or black platform brackets and accents. You can also snag a headboard and some underbed storage for an extra fee — I opted for both. I’ve seen some people with underbed storage on both sides, but one side worked out well for me.
Delivery
Once my selection was ready, the delivery company called me to schedule the drop off. The next available date was about a week or less from the time I placed my order, so not long at all. I also live on the second floor and the delivery team brought the packages all the way into my home, so don’t worry.
Setup & Installation
The bed came in a bunch of boxes, with everything separated and organized. I’m 100% going to recommend you doing this with an extra set of hands, but I did it alone without any errors (even though I definitely cursed a few times — ha!). With the Queen bed, I had three sections of the platform, the brackets to connect them all, underbed storage and more brackets to install the headboard. The details are super straightforward, just take your time and be patient.
Overall
The bed is dope. Point blank. I had enough color options to satisfy me and easily found something that fit in my space. The delivery process was smooth and friendly, especially being on the second floor. Setup was decent, but I should have had a helping hand — haha! And the bed itself? A beautiful addition to my home that I quickly fell in love with.
