Monos Luggage | Carry-On Pro Plus Hands On Review

The Monos Carry-On Pro Plus is the perfect weekender suitcase.

Monos luggage is some of the best on the market and for very good reason. Before I even get too deep, know that their quality matches (if not beats) the other luggage brands in this same space. I was able to take the Carry-On Pro Plus on a spin this weekend for my birthday trip and I wanna share some details. Let’s get into it.

Let’s start with the overall build quality.

It’s A1 — simple as that. The outer polycarbonate shell is tough as nails and I was very comfortable with any of my belongings being inside, not worried that anything would break or crush. It just feels PREMIUM. I opted for the Olive Green color and it’s a beautiful shade (I’m also a huge fan of the Black, but it wasn’t in stock). The suitcase also features a telescopic handle, which is pretty standard for this style. The wheels are listed as being ultra-silent, and they definitely nailed that here as well.

For a carry-on suitcase, there’s plenty of storage and room for what you need.

On the inside, you’ve got your main two compartments — plus a compression platform to hold your items down, as well as a full-zip mesh area on the other side. Although some of these features are pretty standard, the build quality is where I think Monos really stands out. Everything just looks and feels sturdy and premium — even down to the zippers and clasps. To make the packing even easier, you can also cop their Compressible Packing Cubes (pictured below) that really do work well. There are two levels of zippers that really help you save a ton of space. I didn’t need to use all four, but the two I did use were a gamechanger.

Price points, where to purchase + other details.

Retailing at $369, the Monos Carry On Pro Plus is already a steal IMO — and at the time of this post, it’s on sale for $295. If you buy the suitcase and a set of Compression Cubes together, you’ll save 15% on the Cubes. You really can’t beat that. All in all, if you want a simple, yet timeless suitcase for your weekend trips and carry-on purposes, I’d say look no further.
