My Favorite Health + Wellness Supplements

On the journey to a better mind and body, here are some of my favorite health and wellness supplements.

I’m no medical expert, but I’m here to share what works for me and which products I’m a big fan of when it comes to my everyday health and finding new ways to help my body out. Some of the items below are newcomers to my rotation — others, I’ve been on for years. Ask questions, do your research and try something new out!

Ashwagandha

I first discovered ashwagandha many years ago back in my bodybuilding prep days. I needed something a little extra to help with overall focus and soreness — ashwagandha definitely did the job. Nowadays, I mostly take it for the stress relief and overall nerve-calming benefits. If you’re looking for something up that alley, take a look and try for yourself.

JOYÁ Glow - Turmeric Elixir Blend

JOYÁ was one of my favorite 2020 finds. Whether it’s tea, adaptogenic blends or organic chocolates, they’re on point. I can vouch for their matcha blend as well, but the Turmeric Elixir Blend is really where it’s at. Pure turmeric can be a little much for me at times fam, but this blend is perfect — featuring ashwagandha, pine pollen and more. The health benefits are through the roof too. Turmeric is straight up anti-inflammatory, full of antioxidants and if you want that glow? Say no more. I’ve made a few smoothies with it, plus a few lattes too. Check it.

Hims Biotin Multivitamin

Multivitamins are already important as is, but once I found this version from Hims that includes biotin, I was sold. I’ve been researching the benefits of everything dealing with hair and nail health, so to have that added in my everyday vitamin, I love it.

Plant People Drops+ Sleep

For a while, I was taking ashwagandha before bed, but decided I needed something a little more sleep-specific. That’s when I discovered Drops+ Sleep and I’ve been hooked since. I don’t miss a night without it. The blend helps ease me to bed, without making me drowsy and forcing me to fall asleep — it’s just nice and easy.

Vitamin D

One of the most important supplements on this list and in general — especially during a pandemic when we’re not outside as much, and especially in the winter with less light in general. Most of them will work just fine, just make sure you’re getting a high enough dose and that you’re taking it consistently. Currently, I’m on the Nature Made brand.

Sun God Tinctures

No matter your ailment — whether digestive issues, sleep issues or more — Sun God has you covered. Tinctures are super easy to you. You can drop them under your tongue, mix them in a drink or whatever else seems fit for you. My personal favorite? The ones for the immune system. You can never get enough of that.
