Five Timeless Watches That Won't Break The Bank

This time last year, I probably knew nothing about watches. Now? Timepieces are some of my favorite items of interest in the world. I’m fascinated with the low-end, high-end and everything in between. Watches can give your outfit a much needed piece of flair that would otherwise be lacking. To help get you started, I’m showcasing five timeless watches to add to your collection that won’t break the bank.

Casio F-91W - $10 to $15

The ultimate minimal watch for only $10. The Casio F-91W is light, practical and probably the best $10 watch you can get out there. Sidenote: these are definitely small-wrist friendly, so keep that in mind.

Timex Camper MK1 - $59 to $79

This watch is a remastered version of a timeless classic. Originally issued by the US Army a few decades ago, these timepieces can take a beating without beating down your pockets. A fun everyday watch.

Orient Bambino 2nd Gen. Version 2 - $110 to $130

This is probably my favorite dress watch model for the price. For just over $100, you’re getting class, precision and good quality in a beautiful watch body. The Orient Bambino is also an automatic watch, meaning that it’s self-winding. No batteries. It winds itself from movement—a movement that’s made in-house in Japan since the 50’s. Add one to your collection and you won’t regret it. The cream dial with blue hands is calling my name!

Seiko SKX007 & SKX009 - $230

These Seiko SKX models are two of my favorite dive watches out there, so much so that I actually own the SKX007 (black dial). They’re big, beautiful, durable and detailed without being extra or gaudy. I never really want to take this thing off.

Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical - $425 to $475

The Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical watch just starts to creep into that next price range, but I promise it’s worth taking a look at. There’s not much better than a nice field watch on a NATO strap, like you see in the first and third photos. This model also requires hand-winding to get it powered, which is pretty cool. If you want to make that initial jump into higher end watches without going broke, Hamilton is the way to go.
